The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program is here to equip you with all the essential knowledge for a fantastic start together. 

 

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class is for pups who are from 8 weeks to 5 months old at the time of enrollment. Handlers should arrive equipped with a leash, a collar, a tug toy, and plenty of small, easily chewable treats that are easy to see on our dark mats.

The class includes the following as well as much more:

• Traditional obedience behaviors such as sit, down, stand, stay and walking on a loose leash 

• Developing a fun relationship with your puppy

• Reliable recalls

• Introduction to different walking surfaces

• Testing for the AKC S.T.A.R. Certification
